Down Payment Assistance programs are offered by many government and state agencies, as well as local non-profit charities. Every state has a housing office that administers that state’s down payment assistance program. To receive down payment assistance, home buyers must qualify with one of a network of state approved mortgage lenders and banks.
A new down payment assistance program is now being offered exclusively through non-profit agencies in cooperation with The Lending Company, a Direct Endorsed U.S. Housing and Urban Development mortgage lending company. The new program uses FHA 30 year fixed mortgages and is only available in the states listed below. Follow your state’s link to view down payment assistance videos.
If you do not see your state listed on this page, go to our Down Payment Assistance Programs By State page to find state programs for which you may qualify.
